About Me

Hi, I'm Heba. I'm a software engineer at Microsoft on the Azure Upstream team (previously AKS). I'm passionate about Kubernetes, systems infrastructure, and open source.

I'm an active contributor to various Kubernetes SIGs and have been part of the Kubernetes release teams for versions 1.18, 1.24, 1.25, 1.27, and 1.28. I served as Bug Triage lead for the 1.25 release. Before that, I worked as a Java developer for 10+ years.

I speak at conferences like KubeCon about cloud native technologies, Kubernetes internals, and community topics. You can find my talks on the Talks page.

I write about Kubernetes internals and systems engineering on my Substack. I graduated from Computer Engineering at Cairo University, Egypt, and I'm based in San Jose, California.
